After several months of moving and renovation, I’d like to introduce you to the new Green Mango Cafe and Bakery and Culinary Training Center in Battambang, Cambodia!

CGI’s new facilities sit on a quiet piece of land with a beautiful garden.  The restaurant, classrooms, and outdoor garden area offer customers and students plenty of space to enjoy a meal, study, or relax with a cup of tea or coffee while they take in the beauty of the garden plants.

I’m thrilled that God has led CGI to this new property and provided such lovely facilities for us to use to pursue our mission in Cambodia.  The current culinary class graduates in December and we have a new class ready to start in the new year!

I’d like to ask you to pray for the success of the new restaurant, and especially for the young women who are graduating and the new students about to join us.

The Covid pandemic has hit Cambodia hard, and many of the expats and the tour groups that make up the bulk of the Green Mango’s customers aren’t eating out in the midst of the crisis.  While the Green Mango’s revenues have improved over the last couple of months, we are still running a deficit of $2,500 per month compared to the income level we had before the pandemic hit in the spring. We’re asking God to increase the number of customers coming into the restaurant and to provide more donor support for the needs of the awesome young women in our program.

Please pray, and please donate!  Your gift will ensure that more and more young women will escape the oppression of poverty and human trafficking. You are making a real difference in the lives of so many through your partnership with CGI. Thank you so much!!!
